Dok District
Almere Haven is on the eve of a large-scale area transformation. On the site of the former De Paal business park, INVEXUM is developing the new Dok District: a contemporary and sustainable living and working environment where housing, greenery, amenities, and social interaction come together naturally.
The current, largely paved-over area will make way for a vibrant urban neighborhood with ample space for a range of target groups, from first-time buyers and families to seniors and those looking to move up the housing ladder. The development is characterized by a diverse range of housing, sustainable and energy-efficient construction, high-quality public spaces, and a strong focus on livability and connection between residents.
With this development, Dok District contributes not only to Almere’s housing challenge, but also to strengthening the green, village-like, and water-rich character of Almere Haven. The result is a future-oriented urban neighborhood where living, working, and meeting come together. The Dok District is divided into several sub-developments, of which INVEXUM will develop the Roer and Bolder sub-projects in the coming years.
Boeg
Boeg consists of two characterful building blocks that together enclose a spacious, green inner courtyard. The project comprises 198 apartments, various amenities at street level and a parking garage beneath the inner garden.
The waterside location is a key starting point for the design. On the canal side, the building takes on a representative, urban appearance with a striking façade and a recognisable entrance by the bridge. Between the building blocks, a green street connects the different living environments and offers space for private outdoor areas and informal encounters between residents.
The brickwork, executed with variation in bonds and subtle relief details, gives the buildings a warm and refined appearance. On the courtyard side, the architecture opens towards the shared inner garden, creating an inviting, collective living environment in which greenery, light and social connection take centre stage.
